TYPE OF DESIGN: Fashion Design and Brand Design.

DESIGN CHALLENGE:
MAS had a selection of ‘dead stock’ or items that have been produced and remain in stock.
CIT Lab designers took on the challenge to reimagine and redesign these products, by creating Consumer Mood boards and capsule collections aimed at a Gen Z and Millennial consumers.
DESIGN OBJECTIVE:
Design a range of clothing that reimagines existing, finished lingerie
garments as outerwear, as well as design a brand under which this could be sold.

+ Creative brainstorming
+ Mood board and product CAD Designs
+ Presentation preparation and delivery to client.
RESULT:
CIT Labs delivered consumer mood boards along with several garments that skilfully incorporated MAS Lingerie options. Launch of new brand identity, called ‘Revamp’.

TYPE OF DESIGN: Design of Brand Marketing Material
DURATION: 8 Weeks
DESIGN CHALLENGE:
The client, who is the largest tea company in Sri Lanka with the highest market share in the tea category, issued a brief to design eye-catching and impactful Point Of Sale Marketing ideas for several of their tea brands.
The focus was on General Trade, which would encompass small, family-owned stores, market stall, informal retail.
The aim was to create brand visibility to shoppers to cut through merchandise clutter in crowded environments.
The solution also needed to be scalable across a network from 2,500 to 50,000.
DESIGN OBJECTIVE:
Induce trial; Engage Consumer; Increase Sales; Encourage Repeat Purchase

RESULT:
CIT Labs delivered 10 fresh and unique Point Of Sale Marketing Material options to the client, successfully addressing a each marketing objective.

TYPE OF DESIGN: Brand and Packaging Design
DURATION: 8 Weeks
DESIGN CHALLENGE:
Hansa Ceylon Coffee is one of the oldest community coffee growers and roasters in
Sri Lanka. However, they wanted to take the opportunity to refresh their brand design to compliment a stronger online presence, while at the same time, address the need for biodegradable packaging solutions for their coffee.
In keeping with their brand ethos, they wanted incorporate an element of design featuring local Sri Lankan artisans using heritage crafting skills.
DESIGN OBJECTIVE:
Design new brand elements (logo, typeface, brand colours etc.) and extend the brand onto biodegradable packaging designs.

+ Market and Consumer research
+ Packaging research
+ Creative brainstorming
+ Brand Design with Above The Line (ATL) and Below The Line (BTL) applications
+ Packaging designs with artisan elements
+ Presentation preparation and delivery to client.
RESULT:
CIT Labs delivered 4 Brand designs, with 6 Packaging designs.

DURATION: 4 Weeks
DESIGN CHALLENGE:
This project required the redesign of a logo and brand elements for a Social Enterprise based in South Africa. The project had several challenges, including that the client was from a different culture, which required the designers to adapt their approach, but also that the project had to be delivered in only 4 weeks.
DESIGN OBJECTIVE:
Design new brand elements (logo, typeface, brand colours etc.).

+ Brand design with Above The Line (ATL) and Below The Line (BTL) applications

CIT Labs delivered 5 striking Brand designs, with several mock-ups of Above The Line (ATL) and Below The Line (BTL) applications.
